Forge Funny
Curated by Mitra Alice Tham and Simon Watterton.
An evening of comedy with Kirsten O'Brien, Wendy Wason, Chris Corcoran and Josh Howie.TV presenter Kirsten dabbles in stand up and regularly comperes on the London circuit. Her first one woman show 'Confessions Of A Children's TV Presenter' was an Edinburgh sell out. Here in Caponata she'll be sharing some of her stories from her 13 years in kids tv.
Described as "absolutely hysterical" by Jimmy Carr and "charming, clever and funny" by The Times, Wendy Wason is a Scottish comic who will be returning to Edinburgh this year with her latest one woman show.
Josh Howie is a London based comic who has been billed as "A young Woody Allen" by The Scotsman. He will be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe this year with a new show Gran Slam, his previous appearances being reviewed by Time Out as "Excellent, intelligent stand-up…terrific"
In 2004, Chris Corcoran made his Edinburgh Festival debut when he performed his hilarious show Welsh Assembly. His mission was to double the population of Wales by the end of the festival, persuading audiences to change nationality. He failed but in so doing managed to get a four star review in The Sunday Times and The British Theatre Guide.

Amphion Consort 'Baroque Bites'
Jennifer Bennett (baroque violin) Yair Avidor (theorbo and lute)
Violin sonatas by Arcangelo Corelli, lute music from the Court of Versailles, Bach on the theorbo and English folk tunes from the 17th century.
The Amphion Consort is named after the mythological lyre player (as told by Ovid in his Metamorphoses) who built the walls of Thebes by moving the stones to fall in their places by the power and beauty of his playing.
"Jennifer Bennett (baroque violin) and Yair Avidor (theorbo) have a genuinely magical chemistry as performers with Jennifer delivering a passionate, soulful and intelligent interpretation of these fascinating works. As exceptional musicians, they play with great sensitivity, warmth and vigour combined with a dash of quirkiness, and are equally compelling to watch" Jane Cockcroft, Handel House Museum
