VISIT THE FORGE
The Forge has been specially designed by the award-winning Burd Haward Architects with the ideal atmosphere and natural acoustics for live musical performance. This makes The Forge the perfect venue for concerts, rehearsals, recordings, auditions and other arts-based activities. It is a fantastic space for corporate functions, meetings, wedding receptions, private parties and other events.
Caponata
'Caponata' is named after a Sicilian aubergine-based 'ratatouille', best eaten with crusty bread.
The Restaurant, Osteria and Bar are located at the front of the building, on Delancey Street. Freshly prepared Sicilian food can be enjoyed in the ground floor cafe or in the more intimate first floor restaurant, over-looking the courtyard.
Caponata is closely associated with The Forge Venue. As well as running side-by-side, Caponata Restaurant and The Forge are able to join forces. By removing the acoustic screen which separates the restaurant from the venue, a combined space is created where food and music can be enjoyed in equal measure.
Restaurant
Our first floor restaurant is home to a fine dining experience with a carefully chosen list of 60 wines to accompany the finest modern Italian and Sicilian food. The unique cuisine and scents of Sicily are influenced by the island's central Mediterranean position and by the many cultures established there, including Arab, Spanish and Greek.
Osteria
The ground floor Osteria is a more laid back eating environment offering freshly prepared Sicilian food. Drop in for a quick breakfast or lunchtime snack or relax and enjoy a traditional meal with regular live music provided by the Forge.
Bar
beer, wine, limoncello, triple espresso...whatever your tipple, enjoy it right here!

The Forge
The Forge is an intimate venue seating up to 125 people, specially designed with natural acoustics for live musical performance. The building has been designed where possible with environmental issues in mind and includes features such as solar panels and natural ventilation systems.
Musical performances can occur in a number of different formats: as a self-contained event in The Forge, background music in the restaurant or as a joint venture with Caponata, in which case the whole of the ground floor will be opened out to create one large space.
Glazed courtyard
The Forge and Caponata are connected by a beautiful double-height glazed courtyard which acts as both an eating space for the Osteria and a foyer space for The Forge. Within the courtyard is the building's central focus: a stunning 6.5 metre high 'living wall' of plants. Designed by Katharine Bradburn, we are able to boast the first and only internal living wall within a restaurant throughout the UK. The perfect inside-outside space.
Performance space
The intimate size and atmosphere of The Forge make performances here unique, offering a personal experience not possible at larger venues.
