The Forge is an award-winning venue, home to London’s most diverse musical talent. Its amazingly flexible building is reflected in the great breadth of the programme, which ranges from informal jazz and comedy on a Monday to high-class concerts in mid-week and pulsating live music club nights at the weekend.
The Forge is a wonderfully intimate venue, specially designed with natural acoustics for live music, making it the perfect space for concerts, rehearsals, recordings and other arts-based activities. Its beautiful décor also makes it a fantastic venue to hire for parties, functions, wedding receptions and business events.
The Forge shares a building with The Foundry Bar & Restaurant. The Foundry creates superb cocktails and delicious homemade British & Modern European food featuring stunning gourmet dishes and handcrafted desserts plus an extensive selection of tapas ideal for accompanying a glass of wine, a beer or a cocktail.
The building has been designed where possible with environmental issues in mind and includes features such as solar panels and natural ventilation systems. The Forge is connected to the downstairs bar by a beautiful double-height glazed courtyard which acts as an eating space for The Foundry by day whilst by night it becomes either a foyer space for The Forge or the centrepiece for our larger scale events.
Within the courtyard is the building’s central focus: a stunning 6.5 metre high ‘living wall’ of plants designed by Katharine Bradburn – the perfect inside-outside space.
The Forge is a not-for-profit organisation and was opened in 2009 by musicians Adam and Charlotte Caird.
