The Forge Arts Venue is available to hire for any event, from concerts and rehearsals to meetings and corporate functions or wedding receptions and private parties.
Room Dimensions
10.2m x 6.7m floor space.
540.6m³ total volume.
Piano
Steinway Model ‘B’ Grand Piano available at the discretion of the owners.
Staging
9 x aluminium lightweight portable rostra measuring 1800mm x 1067mm x 98mm giving a stage of 3.2m x 5.4m.
Each rostrum weighs less than 28k and comes with a set of removable legs to make the finished stage height 400mm.
Seating
72 chairs on ground floor (seated concert-style) or up to 50 seated at 10 tables (café-style).
30-40 seated on benches in gallery.
8 black musicians’ Encore chairs for use on stage.
Music Stands and Lectern
6 x music stands and 1 lectern are available for use.
Lighting
The lighting desk is the Zero 88 Jester 12/24 lighting control console. The control protocol is DMX 512. This can be located at the rear of the balcony or on the auditorium floor.
There is also one Chili Pro dimmer rack fitted with 24 × 10A dimmers.
There are 3 internally wired lighting bars, allowing for two over the stage and one in the auditorium.
Attached to these are:
* 6 x Selecon Acclaim axial variable beam profile spotlights
* 8 x Selecon Acclaim Fresnel spotlights c/w barndoor
* 6 x ETC Par lamps with colour gels
Sound Equipment
Soundcraft M12 mixing desk with 12 channels.
Main PA and effects loudspeaker installation includes:
* 2 x Tannoy V12 full range cabinets mounted on the wall either side of the stage
* 2 x Tannoy VS15 bass speakers positioned either side of the stage on the floor
* 2 x Martin Wharfdale EVP12PM wedge monitor speakers for fold back use
Sound equipment racks containing:
* 3 x Yamaha PS2500 power amplifiers
* 1 x Lexicon MX300 reverb unit
* 1 x Tannoy TX2 bass cross over unit
* 1 x Yamaha Q2031B graphic equaliser for ‘house’ equalisation
* 1 x Tascam CDRW901 integrated CD record and player
* 1 x Tascam CD01 CD player
Loudspeaker sockets and microphone connectors are located in a facility panel located to one side of the stage.
Other sound accessories available:
* 2 x Shure SM58LC cabled microphones
* 2 x Shure SM57LC cabled microphones
* 1 x AKG D112 kick drum microphone
* 2 x DI Boxes
* 6 x floor standing microphone stands with boom arm
* Microphone and loudspeaker cables
Video Projection
NEC LT25 projector mounted on the ceiling above the balcony.
3000 × 2250 motorised projection screen mounted on the wall behind the stage.
VGA input to video system via facilities panels at stage level and at the main control position at the rear of the balcony.
Signal to the projector can either be from a laptop (not supplied) or from a portable Samsung DVD/VR 320 DVD and Video combined player.
Assisted Hearing System
Sennheiser Infra-Red System via five HDI 302 headphone units.

Catering
Food and drink are available from our associated bar and eatery.
Green Room and Hire of Additional Areas
The Forge has a green room with private shower and toilet.
The Forge can be hired in conjunction with other areas of the building, including a glazed courtyard and 64-seat restaurant.
Parking
The Forge does not have any parking facilities available. There is an NCP car park nearby and Camden Town is extremely well served by public transport.
